“Don’t plan on repenting tomorrow, Today might be your last.” – Walk Thru The Bible

Why keep conforming to this world when we know it only leads to death? Once you start putting off repenting it will be hard to break that habit. So I encourage you to make the sacrifice live for God and take up your cross everyday!

God bless

To The Elders and The Flock

“To the elders among you…Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them — not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humbled.” – 1 Peter 5:1-5

The above verses are very important and revelant today. Before I start let me just say that all of God’s word is extremely important revelant. I just want to take a look a few of his important words. In the church today and even in our own families there is a lot of lack of respect from young people to elders and elders to young people. From my understanding back in the day elders looking out for the younger people even if that person wasn’t their child or apart of their family. There was also a lot of young people who looked up to their elders and sought out advice from their wisdom.

What happened??? Have we gotten so selfish and judgmental as people that we can care less about helping and looking after them. I am talking about the young and the old. I see so many older people out here who genuinely and lovingly try to “be shepherds of God’s flock” but the younger folk are blatantly disrespectful. One the other side I see my fellow young people who are lost. Instead of them receiving the wisdom that their elders have to offer, the elders offer their judgmental attitude and opinions instead. Again what happened? Why do young people and older people alike feel like they “know it all”? God says in his word:

“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ” Ephesians 5:21

God didn’t call us to fight, be mean, judge or be unloving with one another. Our problem is pride. “Pride keeps the older people from listening and trying to understand the younger generation and vise versa.(Life Application Bible)”. We can all learn from each other if we take the time to listen, humble ourselves and respect one another.

I encourage you, whoever you are that is reading this blog post to study 1 Peter 5:1-5 and Titus 2:1-15. Go to God, pastors, priest, parents and grandparents and have them go over these verses and this topic with you.

God Bless

Godly Wisdom

“Wisdom opens the eyes to both the glories of heaven and the hollowness of earth.”- Walk Thru The Bible

Are you exercising Godly wisdom in your life? Respond to the call of wisdom everyday it has more benefits like the favor of the Lord (look at Solomon’s life) than the allure of temptation.

“Temptation is not a sin, but playing with temptation invites sin.” – Walk Thru The Bible

Giving in to temptation leads to only one place. I promise you, you do not want to go to that place. Through Jesus Christ we have the power to overcome temptation. When temptation tries to slither its way into your life go and be a blessing to someone else. God says:

” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” – Romans 12:21

We Can Not Be Friendly With Sin

“We can’t be friendly with sin and expect our lives to remain unaffected.” – Life Application Bible NIV

I think it is very important to surround yourself with believers. They will assist in your spiritual growth, pray for you, and enrice you with the fruit of the spirit not sin. By all means go and make disciples and turn sinners into saints as the Lord’s word says but be careful. We do not want to get friendly with sin, that can be dangeeous.

I personally have been there where I was being friendly with sin and allowed myself to be enticed by my sinful friends. For a good while my life was turned upside down by it. My fellow believers I encourage you to stand firm in the faith.

“My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them.” – Proverbs 1:10 NIV

It is so much better to fellowship/hang with other believers. Those who are positive and will help you keep your mind on God through adversity and joyful times. Let only the Holy Spirit entice you, and be a blessing to others.

God bless
