“To go through the hardest journey, take one step at a time, but in God’s strength keep on stepping” (Daily Walk Bible)
There are a lot of people in the bible who you can say has had a journey or a hard journey. When reading my bible called The Daily Walk Bible, it gives you a devotional or something to think about with a quote each day. These quotes and devotionals/something to think about are always in line with the selected chapters you are reading for that day. The above quote came from this bible while I was reading about Ezekiel’s journey. God tasked Ezekiel to go and tell Judahs the end for them has come, but at the end God say’s he will bring the land of Israel back again (11:17). Essentially Ezekiel’s journey was a hard one, he has to tell Judah of the destruction the Lord is about to bring upon them as well as give them hope because the Lord will bring them back.
Judah is a people who are to say it in three terms a tough crowd. In other words they are “hard of hearing, callous, and in different to the message” (Hoover, Kirk, Tiegreen, 2012). Although the people of Judah was a “tough Crowd”, Ezekiel did the Lord told him to do anyway. Yes we can only imagine how hard the journey was to bring the message of destruction as well as the message of hope. Although God is going to unleash his anger on Judah who have done some detestable practices, because they are a wayward people he also states that he will bring the land of Israel back again (11:17).
My point is to encourage you through the journey or race you have right now. We are are running a race right.
Hebrews 12:1-2 states “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witness. Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles . And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith” NIV
I’m sure there are people who are discouraging, or you may not have the support of some family members and friends. You also amy feel alone and want to give up, or possibly doubt that this is what God called you to do. I am here to tell you that “Ezekiel means God strengthens” (Hoover, Kirk, Tiegreen, 2012). So I encourage you to KEEP GOING. Lean on him our rock and lease my sister and or brother KEEP GOING!
God Bless You
