Are we wholeheartedly conforming to the Lord Our God?

“Many Christians have enough religion to make them decent but not enough to make them dynamic.” – Walk Thru The Bible Ministries

Are we giving God continual wholehearted conformity? God wants us to desire and pursue Him wholeheartedly and continually. How many works has God started in us and we just complied halfheartedly and did not continue in the changing process?

A lot of times we get a conviction from the Lord and then we seek “resources” meaning out family and friends for approval of the conviction. Then we  start the process of changing but then we start looking at that one friends life who seems to be living so righteously and is blessed abundantly. However, she is still partaking in watching all of those garbage t.v shows/movies and gossiping about them and other as well.

You think to yourself but I can see that God is blessing her and she is always in her word and encouraging others to the Lord as well as helping people. So you decide to ignoring the conviction and leading that God is giving you to stop watching those garbage t.v. shows and movies and to completely stop gossiping.

If you are going to  live for the Lord do it wholeheartedly and follow his word and do not do things that are not biblical. Even if your friend is”living the life” while still sinning. You are to follow God and his standards, statutes and commands and word.

Please do not taint your witness because someone else is. Make sure you pray for that friend and give them encouragement, but you yourself follow God and His guidance and instruction.

God is our main source and we need to make sure we go to him in prayer for any and everything and for every area of our lives. We have to stop going to man for answers and start going to the feet of the Lord. Now I am not saying do not go to your pastors for help or advice or friends and  family.

I am saying your first reaction should be going to the Feet of Jesus and seeking help and guidance from Him First and foremost. Then patiently wait for him to give you the guidance and instruction. Then you can go to godly friends and your pastors but make sure your immediate circle of friends are those who hold you accountable and they themselves are truly living biblically.

Always go to the one who died for your sins. ” For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten so, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16

Let us not be like Jehu in 2 kings 10:28-31 where he halfheartedly followed God. I will leave you all with these scriptures on the Luke warm Christian.

Revelation 3:15-22 ” I know your works, that you are neither cold or hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will visit you out of my mouth. Because you say, I am rich, have become wealthy, and need of nothing and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the Shane of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me and My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the spirit says to the churches.”

Are You An Inactive Christian?

“The Devils number one tool is not an active sinner but an inactive Christian.”- Walk Thru The Bible Ministries

This is by far one of the best quotes I have come across. So my question to you is Are you an inactive Christian? I think it is important for all of us to think really deep about that question and look intently at our lives.

Gods word says “Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? Unless indeed you are disqualified.”-2  Corinthians 13:5

It is very important for us to do spiritual check ups, just like when we get physical checks up at the doctors office. We will truly begin to know whether we are inactive Christians or not. As we grow closer to Jesus the more our life should reflect that.

You can’t say I’m an active Christian but you don’t share Gods word, make disciples, and you faithfully listen to secular music and watch garbage tv shows/movies. I love to tell people when in doubt pray, read Gods word, spend time with God and think “what would Jesus do” or what would Jesus Say?

When we do those things we will get answer. I dislike when people try to say it’s okay to watch or listen to secular music and movies. I’m not doing those things just watching them. In what way is that biblical and do you really think Jesus would watch or listen to that. I think a lot of times we are Luke warm Christians and we just want to have God and the world too. As Gods word says we can’t serve two masters you will either hate the one and love the other.

So please study Gods word, pray about everything, pray without ceasing. Definitely give up the world and its temporary things (material things etc) serve the Lord wholeheartedly and faithfully no matter what. Your life is a witness to everyone if you preach one thing and do another you will cause someone to stumble. You may cause someone who is an unbeliever to not want to be a Christian if your telling them for an example to love your neighbor but your constantly cussing your neighbor out. (Somethings wrong with that picture right?)  I know we are not perfect by no means but we have Gods word and we have to stop intentionally sinning and start repenting and start living Gods way not ours.

What is God trying to do in you?

“Though you may ask God to do something for you, He generally wants to do something in you.”- The Daily Walk Bible

What is God trying to do in you? Are you being obedient or are you ignoring him to feed your own selfish fleshy desires?

Pray about it and listen for the Lord. Go in the direction He leads you. Make sure you are following His leading and not your own will or emotions.

God Bless

How is your prayer life?

“We cannot expect to live defectively and pray effectively.”-Walk Thru The Bible

How is your prayer life?

During my personal bible study I use Your Daily Walk along with my scripture reading. ,y goal is to read the whole bible in one year. This devotional has is suppose to help you with that. It has 365 devotionals With an overviews, of the chapter for example today I’m on 1kings 17-19. It gives me an overview of the those chapter, a quote (the one above) etc..

I think we all should do a self-check and examine our prayer life. Are we asking  God to do things for other people like “God please help that little boy he looks hungry” or ” God that family just lost their son please comfort them and help them?  If so we need to study more the bible more. We are to live Gods word as well as speak it and share it right?? So why not pray God use me to comfort that family or use me to help that little boy in your name Jesus to help them know you Lord.

Elijah is said to be someone we should imitate because his prayer life was “one point”. In other words how he prayed, how often he prayed and when he prayed is what we should model. Pray when you feel tempted, pray when you feel sad pray instead of gossiping. Pray when your angry instead of yelling at the person who made you angry. Pray with out ceasing and watch God work. Pray about everything and complain about nothing and give thanks to the Lord for everything.
