Grounded in Faith

While reading my devotional today I came across a great quote.

“Standing your ground is easier when your grounded in faith.” Your Daily Walk devotional

Are you grounded in faith? There are many times where we each focus our attention on our problems and everything that is going wrong in our life. So I encourage you to stop focusing on your problems and focus on the one who is our problem solver (God).

We are not alone but God is with us always. Read psalm 3 as the devotional I read today encouraged me, and see how David shifts his focus from his problem to his problem solver. Better yet read psalm 1-6 today

God bless

Is Repaying Evil for Evil Worth It?

“Repay evil with good, and you deprive the evildoer of all the pleasure of his wickedness.” – You Daily Walk Devotional

Repaying evil for evil may seem logical or even fair and it also may seem like it will satisfy you. But will it? What does repaying evil for evil really do? Depriving the evil doer of the pleasure he/she receives from their wickedness can help that person change their ways. If everyone were to respond to evil with love how would the world look today? Responding to evil with love and scripturally can win that person’s heart over to God.

If you are a Christian and someone does evil to you and you respond with evil what is your react to that evil showing that person? Always respond to evil with good, love and scripturally even when it hard to do so and then pray for that person.

Roman’s 12:21 NIV ” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

As the bible stated in Roman’s chapter 12:17-18, 19 do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends. But leave room for Gods wrath, for it is written: it is mine to avenge; I will repay, says the Lord.

The benefits of repaying evil with good out weigh those of evil. Always love in action.

What are Gods Odds?

“God is too great to be knocked off course by the wickedness of men.” – Your Daily walk Devotional

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth -Psalm 46:10

How is your behavior

“If your behavior does not reflect your beliefs, how valuable are those beliefs?”- Daily Walk Bible KJV

Are you bearing good or bad fruit? Your behaviors shows what type of fruit you are bearing. You can say you follow the Lord but if your behavior (fruit) is not matching up then you need to examine yourself.

What do you truly believe? Remember you are witness to others by your words and behavior. There is always someone watching it could be a new believer or someone who wants to believe. So Make sure your behavior reflects your beliefs so you do not cause someone to stumble or turn away from God and also so you can bear good fruit always

” We conquer not in any brilliant fashion, we conquer by continuing.” -Daily Walk Bible KJV

In Acts 27 Paul and others was sailing to late in the fall which was a bit dangerous. Paul was going to rome. Now Being caught up in to a tempestuous wind. They all were afraid of being shipwrecked so to speak but with Paul’s encouragement and by them continuing on they conquered. We too musg throughour trials abd tribulations must continue on and share the gospel with others however God has called us too. By continuing to do so through trials and tribulations we too shall conquer.
