Repaying evil for evil may seem logical or even fair and it also may seem like it will satisfy you. But will it? What does repaying evil for evil really do? Depriving the evil doer of the pleasure he/she receives from their wickedness can help that person change their ways. If everyone were to respond to evil with love how would the world look today? Responding to evil with love and scripturally can win that person’s heart over to God.
If you are a Christian and someone does evil to you and you respond with evil what is your react to that evil showing that person? Always respond to evil with good, love and scripturally even when it hard to do so and then pray for that person.
Roman’s 12:21 NIV ” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
As the bible stated in Roman’s chapter 12:17-18, 19 do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends. But leave room for Gods wrath, for it is written: it is mine to avenge; I will repay, says the Lord.
The benefits of repaying evil with good out weigh those of evil. Always love in action.
