The Mouth & Tongue are Powerful. How Are You Using it?

Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from trouble.- Proverbs 21:23 KJV

Wow, isn’t this verse powerful? The bible speaks often about the power of words. Its in the Old and New Testament.

I hate the saying “keep it real” or keep it 💯” because these phrases and sayings are not biblical. A lot of “chriatians” use it and ignore what the Bible says.

Proverbs 21:23 is saying he who controls his mouth or he who is careful of what he says keeps himself from trouble.

How many of you have lost friends and family because of something you have said. Words are very powerful. They can heal, encourage, or destroy. God wants us to always be truthful, but he also wants us to do everything in love.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. – Proverb 18:21

What has your tongue produced lately? Was it death or was it life?

We can’t bless and praise God and turn around and curse our friends, family and strangers.

Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men. Which are made in similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethern, these things ought not so to be. -James 3:9,10 kjv

Let’s keep our mouth from producing fire and death. Lets uplift and edify! If someone hurts us, wrong us lets in return pray for them. Instead of cursing them out.

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among its members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth onbfire thebcourse od nature; and it is set on fire of hell. -James 3:6 kjv

Lets guard our hearts, and choose our words carefully because the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. So fill your heart up with God and His Word.

Keep they heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. -Proverbs 4:23 kjv
God Bless You
