Are we wholeheartedly conforming to the Lord Our God?

“Many Christians have enough religion to make them decent but not enough to make them dynamic.” – Walk Thru The Bible Ministries

Are we giving God continual wholehearted conformity? God wants us to desire and pursue Him wholeheartedly and continually. How many works has God started in us and we just complied halfheartedly and did not continue in the changing process?

A lot of times we get a conviction from the Lord and then we seek “resources” meaning out family and friends for approval of the conviction. Then we  start the process of changing but then we start looking at that one friends life who seems to be living so righteously and is blessed abundantly. However, she is still partaking in watching all of those garbage t.v shows/movies and gossiping about them and other as well.

You think to yourself but I can see that God is blessing her and she is always in her word and encouraging others to the Lord as well as helping people. So you decide to ignoring the conviction and leading that God is giving you to stop watching those garbage t.v. shows and movies and to completely stop gossiping.

If you are going to  live for the Lord do it wholeheartedly and follow his word and do not do things that are not biblical. Even if your friend is”living the life” while still sinning. You are to follow God and his standards, statutes and commands and word.

Please do not taint your witness because someone else is. Make sure you pray for that friend and give them encouragement, but you yourself follow God and His guidance and instruction.

God is our main source and we need to make sure we go to him in prayer for any and everything and for every area of our lives. We have to stop going to man for answers and start going to the feet of the Lord. Now I am not saying do not go to your pastors for help or advice or friends and  family.

I am saying your first reaction should be going to the Feet of Jesus and seeking help and guidance from Him First and foremost. Then patiently wait for him to give you the guidance and instruction. Then you can go to godly friends and your pastors but make sure your immediate circle of friends are those who hold you accountable and they themselves are truly living biblically.

Always go to the one who died for your sins. ” For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten so, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16

Let us not be like Jehu in 2 kings 10:28-31 where he halfheartedly followed God. I will leave you all with these scriptures on the Luke warm Christian.

Revelation 3:15-22 ” I know your works, that you are neither cold or hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will visit you out of my mouth. Because you say, I am rich, have become wealthy, and need of nothing and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the Shane of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me and My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the spirit says to the churches.”

God bless
